Beginning Readers!

Our Kindergarteners are

beginning readers! This week
during our Saxon phonics
program we are introduced to our
first little decodable reader.
Decodable means you can sound it
out. Watch for this book to come
home for homework! Please have
your child read it to you and send
it back the next day!

Sight Words
We are getting ready to learn our
Kindergarten sight words soon!
Sight words are words that
children have to learn by sight
because they do not follow any
particular rules. These are very
important words to know. We will
be reviewing them daily in class!

*If you have any questions or
concerns, you can email me at any
time at tast@wcsks.com! Thanks!

Letter A!
This week we will learn about the
letter A!! We will learn the correct
formation of the letter and the
sound it makes. We will learn
that A says A as in apple and
that A is a vowel. Remember,
show & tell will be things that
begin with the letter A!

A is for Apples!
This week we will start our unit
on apples! We will make apple
prints and even do some apple
tasting! Yum!
