Week of November 2-6, 2014
Reading
Early in the week we will conclude the
introduction to the new spelling program.
Last week the students performed various
activities they will use throughout the year to
help strengthen their spelling and writing
skills. We will also return to our regular
reading program where we will continue to
focus on the topic of setting, how to identify it
and how also to use it to assist in
comprehension.
Math
We are nearing and end to
unit two, which focuses on
estimation and computation.
This week the students will
practice estimating products
with numbers which include
decimals, as well as multiply
whole numbers and deci-
mals using a variety of
methods.
