Nobel Peace Prize in 1985 For the
prevention and resolution of conflicts

he elaborated and validated a scientific approach , named personcentered approach that has three conditions ( empathy, congruency and
unconditional positive regard) that make communication between two or
more people, a relationship that is able to promote growing and changing.

empathic
and
authentic
relationship, changes the construction of
their self experience, of others and of the
world liaising in an acceptable, empathic and
authentic way.

The Gordon Method

Student and colleague of Carl Rogers, he spread
Rogerss opera with courses on Effectiveness
Training. In recognition of his contributions to
the betterment of humanity Gordon was
nominated for the Nobel Prize for Peace in 1997,
1998 and 1999. He spread in all the world
teaching programs(Effectiveness Training) that
include the prevention and resolution of conflicts.

The purpose of the T.E.T. course is to help teachers learn


philosophy and communication skills which will help them
improve their relationship with their learners and other important
people in their lives. It is supported by the following goals:

To help learner solver their own problems


To confront learners unacceptable behavior
To resolve conflicts between teacher and learner
To resolve values collision between teacher and learner

Session type training T.E.T. is structured this way:


1. Starting exercises
2. Sharing past experiences made outside course
3. session goals
4. Presentation
5. Exercise
6. Group discussion
7. Homework
The context of T.E.T. is determined not only by the program
or teacher but whom it is attended by. The partecipants have
the responsability of learning.
