RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE COMING TO BOONE
BOONE, N.C. -- Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) will host a fundraiser in order
to build a Ronald McDonald House in Boone.
The fundraiser will run from Oct. 15, 2014 to Feb. 28, 2015 to raise money to build and
furnish the house. The goal is to reach $1 million in donations.
RMHC builds these homes in order for families to stay close to their children who are
receiving treatment for illnesses. The Ronald McDonald houses also provide home-cooked
meals, private bedrooms and playrooms for children at little cost to the families that stay there.
Vince Neil, lead vocalist for the band Mtley Cre and father who lost a child to cancer,
has agreed to help with the fundraiser. To have the chance to make a difference in someone
elses life is a true honor, said Neil. I am willing to help in any way possible because I know it

The house will be around 7,000 square feet and will host up to 10 families at a time.
