MEDIA ALERT
Dunkin’ to Donate $10,000 to Berks County Food Bank to Fight Hunger
Dunkin’ representatives will present Helping Harvest food bank with a $10,000 donation that
was raised by local franchises through the Roast Hunger program.
WHAT: Dunkin’ is presenting a $10,000 check to Helping Harvest food bank, money
raised through the Roast Hunger program. The program ran from Thanksgiving
through Dec. 10 at local Dunkin’ franchises. For every large hot coffee sold to
Dunkin’ rewards members, $1 was donated. On March 8, Dunkin’ representatives
will be visiting Helping Harvest to present the donation. Additionally, the
Dunkin’ Community Cruiser will be rolling in to treat volunteers and staff with
free hot and iced coffee, donuts and Dunkin’ swag.
WHY: Helping Harvest provides meals to those in need in Berks and Schuylkill counties.
Since COVID-19, the organization has had to double in size to meet the needs of
the community. A $1 donation is equivalent to 10 meals, meaning Dunkin’s
donation is equal to 100,000 meals!
