This week we are learning:

Sea animals

Circle Time Review

I would like to continue working with
the MEP class on the new songs,
slippery fish and Baby shark as well
as show them video of sea animals.
I have also begun to teach them a
new dance that involves right and left
and action requests like hop three
times and freeze

Activity Time
Activity I am going to continue on working with the class on sea animals. They
have actually picked it up a lot faster than expected. I have begun to teach them
new games to play while learning the vocabulary and I would like to continue
working with them on those games.
They are a competitive class with each other so any games that involve splitting
them into teams prove to be successful.
Colouring and activities that I am doing with the EP class will be included with the
MEP also.
Vocab- sea horse, starfish, jellyfish, fish, shark, orca, dolphin, whale, crab, sea
otter, octopus, seal, squid

Phonics
Review
We will continue reviewing letter
names and sounds in alphabetical
order. We will play a game where
students have to match pictures of
things to their starting sound. For
example a ant, p pencil.

New (letters/sounds/vocabulary)
This week we will continue simple blending of an family words (pan, can, fan, ran, man, van). As
the students still need some practice with this word family. The student will also take turns to write
out the different words on the board so that they can practice sounding out the words one at a
time to help them practice blending.

Students will continue to do their
writing practice books this week.
We will be paying special
attention to handwriting this

Sight Words
We will start sight word later in the term
as the students are not yet ready.
