Reflective paper

Although quite a challenge, I gained intellectual strength writing up my current event. I

chose a topic I was not informed on, but needed to be and learned the basics on the issue. The
fact I had no prior knowledge regarding the topic of ISIS was what made me more goal driven
towards this assignment, although I felt discouraged in some aspects.
I felt this writing project was very imperative, and pertained to the subject in many
aspects. Its so important to remain informed on international affairs, because it affects our
country as well as being human in general. I thought ISIS would be a case in point of that seeing
as though its such a tragic issue occurring all across the world.
Initially I thought getting up to date with the terrorist acts of ISIS would be a mind
boggling mission, it was but I also found it interesting. In fact I ended up watching the PBS front
line documentary on it which helped me do some catching up on the very complex and intricate
details.
Overall it was a beneficial and I came out of it feeling more informed, and quite
accomplished with the knowledge gained. This course has taught me how to analyze a subject
more in depth, and truly look at the world through a different eye. I appreciated the knowledge
gained, and I will leave the course with plenty of newly gained skills.
