When I was younger, I would always practice the same night time ritual of reading before
I slept. This started with my parents reading a book to me before they tucked me in. As my
parents read to me, I would stare at the pictures and tried to make sense of the story. This would
continue for a while, then I started to read. I would read to my mom before I went to bed at night.
The books we usually read were Dr. Seuss books and other little kids books. I never really
enjoyed reading the books myself, but it was something my parents encouraged me to do and it
was how I learned how to read.
