STORY
Business Office Manager Introduces Lexington Park Assisted Living
Darius Jones, Leesburg Campus, Online

Lexington Park Assisted Living and Memory Care, located at 930 CR 466 in Lady Lake, will be celebrating
its fourth anniversary on Friday, November 4, 2014. Mrs. Debbi Jones, the Business Office Coordinator, has been
with the company since before the building opened. Mrs. Jones told me she started as the Administrative
Assistant for Lexington Park in July of 2010, working out of the sales trailer along with the Marketing Director,
Bonnie Reidy. She was promoted to Business Office Coordinator approximately one and a half years ago; taking
on the responsibility of personnel files along with the resident files and staff payroll along with numerous other
duties. Previously, she had worked for a physical therapy company, then another assisted living and memory care
community. When the opportunity presented itself to join Lexington Park starting from the ground up, it was a
challenge Debbi could not pass up.
Mrs. Jones has seen many staff changes in the four years she has worked in the office including changes
in the Executive Director position. The current director, Vincent Zaun, has been with Lexington Park since
November of 2013. Lexington Park has a total of eighty-nine apartments for their residents; twenty of them located
in the Memory Care wing of the building. In talking with Mrs. Jones about her position, she told me the most
important part of her job is the constant contact with the residents and their families. You come to form very
close relationships with the residents, getting to know them very well. Many of them have very interesting
backgrounds.
Lexington Park opened its doors on November 4, 2010 with twelve residents moving in the first day. It now
has a census of eighty-four. Of course the census moves up and down, but that is the nature of assisted living.
Lexington Park is becoming very well known in The Villages area. Mrs. Jones told me, Lexington Park has been
able to develop and keep a very positive reputation in the community. With a great management team and a
positive and qualified staff, the whole team strives daily to meet the needs not only of their residents, but also that
of the community.
