Score Notes
The House of Leaves:
This score will be used for the establishing shot to set the scene as it is a horror. It will go
with the codes and conventions of a horror film and allow the audience to be aware of the
fact that the production will indeed, be a horror. It was frightening and the piano will add
to the scariness.
Panic - Mike Koenig:
This score will be used to end the production; although it is for the ending, it has to build
up to the grand bang at the end. We chose this short track and we all agreed to use this
because we struggled to find a simple 'bang' to make the audience frightened and put
them on edge. However we settled with this score as we felt it still will go well with the
scene.
Scary Sound - Mark DiAngelo:
This sound will be used throughout the scenes building up to the climax and although
there will already be diegetic sound, we decided to use non-diegetic sound to bring about
tension - this is a key aspect for a horror production - it will simply add to the 'scary'
atmosphere.
Extras:
A few unnoticeable scores are the phone sounds that will be added e.g. Footsteps which
will indicate to the audience why Alisha is getting scared
