    ORGANIC BIOMOLECULE

    ASSIGNMENT(15%)
    (Form a group of two students for
    this work)
    1) Write a two page essay on one of the following
    topics and email to me latest by Wednesday (10 %).
    Include in the essay at least 5 recent formal
    references correctly written at the end of the essay
    and quoted accordingly in the text.

    a) The performance and challenges of fats and oil
    industry in Malaysia
    b) Fragrances industry containing natural product
    extracts
    c) What are steroids and how safe is consumption of
    steroids to our health
    d) What are soaps and detergents and will these
    industries affect our environment?
    2) We will have a short 20 minutes session for
    answering question on lipids in class together with
    your partner (5% on last thursday.
    Note: You must send by email the two page
    assignment before being allowed to sit for the 20
    minutes session in class.
    3) The assignment marks (total 15 %) will be uploaded
    in e-learning.
