JEE Main 2015 Exam, Eligibility, Application Form


All India JEE Main 2015 will be held on 4-4-2015 through offline mode and 10-4-2015 and
11-4-2015 through online mode. Also, IITs have also issued the dates for JEE (Advanced)
and it will be held on 24th May 2015. Only those who have qualified the JEE Mains will be
eligible to take JEE Advance 2015. Candidates will have to fill application form online for
applying to JEE mains exam. They will be able to register for JEE Main 2015 online from 7th
November 2014 till 18th December 2014.
JEE stands for Joint Entrance Test. Before JEE, All India Engineering Entrance Exam and IITJEE was conducted for intake of students into engineering courses. However in 2012, AIEEE
and JEE-IIT came together and merged as JEE. Now JEE have two papers under it. One is
JEE Main through which candidates are provided admission in various colleges across the
nation and another is JEE Advanced through which candidates who qualify this exam are
provided admittance to institute like IITs and ISM Dhanbad.
CBSE is responsible for conducting JEE Main and JEE Advanced is conducted by IITs. Both
the papers are conducted on All India Level.

JEE Main 2015 Reservation and Quota

Reservation under JEE Main 2015 is as per Government of India. According to it seat are
reserved as:

15% seats are reserved for Schedule Caste candidates

7.5% seats are reserved for Schedule Tribe candidates

27% seats are reserved for OBC (Non Creamy Layer) candidates

3% seats are reserved for PwD candidates

(1) In case the examination fee is paid through credit/debit cards, the candidate will need to
pay an additional processing charge as following:
Credit Card: 1.20% of the examination fee plus the service tax as applicable.
Debit Card: 0.75% + taxes for examination fee up to Rs. 2000 and 1% + taxes for
examination fee more than Rs. 2000.

(2) Application fee once paid will not be refunded (full or partial) under any circumstances.
JEE Main 2015 Exam Pattern
Candidates must read and understand JEE Main 2015 Exam Pattern to know about various
aspects of the exam and question paper. The following are the highlight the exam pattern:

Mode: JEE Main Paper- 1 will be held in online as well as offline modes. Paper-2 will be
PCM, Drawing and Aptitude Test.

Exam duration: It will be of 3 hours with no privilege for extra time under any
circumstances.

Subjects and Syllabus: Syllabus will cover concepts of Physics, Chemistry and
Mathematics.

Questions: Total questions will be 90 and candidates will have to solve all. Question will
of Objective Type.

Marking Scheme: It will be of 360 marks in total. For each correct answer 4 marks will
be allotted and for each wrong 1 mark will be deducted.

JEE Main 2015 Admit Card


Only those candidates will be issued Admit Card of JEE Main 2015 who will complete
application submission process successfully and in due time period. Candidates can
download the admit card or call letter from the official website of JEE Main. Details like
application number and date of birth etc will be required to access the admit card.
JEE Main 2015 hall ticket will not be send to candidates via post or any other medium. It is
vital document and candidates will not be allowed to write the exam without it.

JEE Main 2015 Result

CBSE will issue JEE Main 2015 result in two parts in its official website. Candidates have to
enter roll number and application number to check their result. JEE Main 2015 result will
state candidates performance in the written exam.
JEE Main 2015 result classification is as below:
Part-I: JEE Main 2015 Score
Part-I states marks obtained by the candidate in the exam. It will be published around May
2015.
Part-II: JEE Main 2015 AIR (All India Rank)
Part- II of result will state all India rank and categorical rank of the candidate in JEE Main
2015. It will be issued later, most probably till July 2015.
This Result of JEE Main coupled with class XII marks will be considered for admissions
through JEE Main 2015, into various colleges and courses.
