Reminders
• “CD-RPM” Goalsetting Guidelines: Controllable, Dated, Realistic, Progressive, Measurable
• Outcome Goal: Focus is on beating opponent (winning tournament, MVP, etc.)
• Performance Goal: Focus is on how well you performed (efficiency, race time, etc)
• Process Goal: Focus is on how you will prepare. Specific actions you will take during
performance or execution of task (bend knees, relax shoulders, etc.)
• Strategy: Things you will do to enable the Process Goals to be reached (set reminder in
phone…)
• Ideal Outcome Goal: “Qualify for the main draw in a Major Zone tournament before Nov,
2010.”
• Ideal Performance Goal: “In practice this week, hit 9 out of 10 into the target area 3 times.”
