Essential Question: How are igneous and metamorphic rocks formed?
Objectives: Igneous rocks form from either lava or magma forming intrusive or extrusive
rocks. These rocks are classified based on color and texture. Metamorphic rocks form inside
the earth with an increase in temperature and/or pressure; these rocks are classified by their
texture.
