Forms that went home this week: -Ski Hill Waiver form (light purple) -Ski Day Parent Volunteer form (yellow) Mrs. Pakenham came in again on Monday for the We CAN Be Friends. She shared a book called How are you peeling? Then she had us make our own perspectacles so we could read the book again and look at the pictures from another perspective. We continued doing our related math facts this week and we are ready to move on to a new mini unit next week! We continued our Wednesday cross-country ski after lunch. This week we were setting a track around the perimeter of the field. The kids were pretty proud of the number of laps they were able to do! Thanks again to the parents that were able to make it out to tie skates on Thursday! We did four stations this week (stopping, cones, crossovers/pumping, and skulling/bubbles) and I had some of the grade 3s take on a leadership role at the stations to help the other kids learn the various skills. We have started a new science unit on the states of matter. Science is one of my passions in teaching, so I am very excited to do this unit! Ill see how long I can stretch this one out! Ask your child to tell you their riddle for a solid in the classroom. These will be posted on the bulletin board in the hallway
