(c)

No two electrons can occupy the same quantum state within

an atom.
As such, atoms with all quantum states filled in its outermost
electron shell are generally non-reactive or inert as no states
are available within that shell for external electrons to occupy
to produce reactions.

(d)

KF molecule is composed of two atoms bonded together,

therefore it has 3 degrees of translational freedom, two
degrees of rotational freedom and 1 degree of bond vibrational
freedom. Total: 6 degrees of freedom.

(e)

A white beam of light having multiple/wide range of

wavelengths is focused on the cold sample which absorbs
photons that match the energy gaps of the atoms present,
hence the light transmitted through the sample will contain a
spectrum (called absorption spectrum) that is missing
the wavelengths of light that has been absorbed by the
sample, giving it its fingerprint.
