Guidelines
Concepts or theme for costume and performance are
left to the discretion of the participants based on
their own interpretation of what is relevant to the
Agta festival. Emphasis must be given to the concept
of prayer in dance.
The Sinulog beat must be used all throughout the
dance interpretation however, slight variations may
be allowed.
Live musical or percussion accompanied must be
used. Canned/taped music is not allowed.
All hand props shall be carried by the dancers all
throughout the parade route.
Ritual presentation shall be limited to fifteen (15)
minutes only including entrance and exit of dancers
and drummers. Three (3) points shall be deducted
from the total score against any tribe who violates
this provision.
Minimum number of participants/dancers is fifty (50)
per tribe.
Exposed faces and parts of the body of participants
must be covered with black charcoal (oring) or
almagre and the exposedinner garments or clothing
must be black. This requirement is A MUST for all the
tribe.
Each group must from time to time, chant or shout-in
joy, triumph and unison VIVA SENOR STO NINO! to
boost the spirituality of the festival chants in all
corner of the streets and failure to shout will be a
point deduction on participating tribes in contest.

1.
Barangays must put-up their respective decorations on the
specified areas.
2.
Any fixed dcor must have a maximum visibility for the
Board of Judges to evaluate the aesthetic of the decoration.
3.
Use of the colourful indigenous and recyclable materials is
recommended.
4.
Concept for the decorations should be relevant to the
festivities.
5.
Judging shall commence on January 8, 2014 until January
12, 2014.
Note: Decorations from each barangay is not limited to the
assigned area for decoration.

GUIDELINES:
1.
Materials for the balsa decorations should be colourful and
out of indigenous and recyclable materials.
2.
With at least 10 passengers for each participating balsa.
3.
Balsa should be motorized and shall join in the fluvial
procession.
4.
There must be at least one (1) Agta (with costume)in board
of the balsa.
5.
All participating balsa must be properly labelled for
identification.
