SWINE FLU AWARENESS PROJECT REPORT

In response to an intensifying outbreak of the SWINE FLU/H1N1 Virus

in the country and worldwide, the IB Diploma Programme students at
DRSIS launched an awareness campaign as a part of their CAS
(Community & service) project which is aligned with the IB community
theme Education for all adopted by the DRS International School.
The students carried out this campaign at various strategic locations in
the city to generate awareness in the community around them.
The IBDP students visited a primary village school (Government
school) which is having the strength of 180 students on 22nd August, as
an initiative towards their project. A street play was enacted in a
regional language, prepared by students .Charts and artifacts were
displayed giving the message on safety measures on Swine flu.
The Campaign was carried further by the IB Diploma Programme with
yet another awareness campaign at Hyderabad Central on 20th august.
The students carried this campaign with the help of informative
material, power point presentation, handouts, skit presentation
prepared by them and informative talk on the subject, in association
with Hyderabad Central.
