CREATIVE DEVIANCE: BUCKING THE HIERARCHY

SUMMARY:
The important function of organisational structure is to increase the standardization and to
control the top managers. using chain of command manager can advise the people and their
work .By this process of chain of command the top level of managers can know how people
are working in an organisation and they can know who is doing the best and creative work in
the organisation by this they can change the the structure of an organisation.
Apple had created that creative process to take their major decision and the employees of
apple comes with an innovative idea that helps to improve the innovative and best product to
produce in the market. The company used to delegate the work to the team and the members
of the used to come with different ideas.
Then there is creative deviance in which the individual create extremely successful product.
The top executives advice was to follow them and the work given by the management follow
those work only. That is the reason these companies producing some best product which
apple had shut down some of the most successful products these companies ever produced.
ANALYSIS:
1. Yes it is possible for an organisation to deliberately create an anti hirerarchy. To encourage
age employees to engage in more acts of creative deviance .Creative deviance is the study of
relationship between creative behaviour and the social construct deviance. How it is impacts
towards the organisational structure, is deviance has referred to intentional behaviors that
depart from organizational norms in a negative way, thereby threatening the well-being of an
organization and/or its members. Stealing and incivility are commonly cited as examples of
deviant, or harmful, behaviour.Anti hierarchical. It reduces the cost, uniformity in action,
personal leadership, flexibility, better co-ordination.
2. The management of negative deviant behaviour in the workplace is of growing concern in
organizations globally since such behaviours can be detrimental to their nancial well-being.
Whether the negative deviance is explicit or subconscious. Organizational norms are a
grouping of expected behaviours, languages, principles and postulations that allow the
workplace to perform at a suitable pace.

3. Now a days apple is the the most popular brand which is producing the best product in the
market. The customers are also attracted towards the product and customer are also habituates
with apples product. This company has a good reputation in todaymarket.Every person in

over world is using the apples product. Because of the structure of the organisation and those
ideas they are applying to producing the product in the market. The top executive allowing
the employee of apple to share their own ideas and apply. The top executives advise the
employees to follow them only. This is the reason apple failed to produce the some new and
innovative products and other company did this. All this happens because of their structure of
organisation and what process they are following.
4. Yes apples success has been depends upon Steve jobs role. As we discussed in the 3 rd
answer its totally depends upon the organisational structure of an organisation what they are
following and apple is always not giving chance to other employees to share their ideas and
to apply the innovative ideas to apply while producing the product. The company s to
executive want to follow them only. Apple is using some simple structure. Apple simply had
a very unique leader who was able to raise above the conventional stricture of a CEO to
create a culture of constant innovation. If we saw Steve Jobs come into a briefing, he couldn't
talk about anything else, other than the thing he was working on .He came into an enterprise
sales briefing, and at the time he was working on Movie. So, we'd be talking about home
movies in the enterprise briefing. the new organizational structure should help certain
divisions make decisions more quickly. But, collaboration has its downside. If everyone is
trying to reach consensus on a decision it could lead to big delays.
