Community Fresco Project in Honor of Troys Historic

Little Italy
Buon Frescoes an old, and rediscovered art form! Thirty artists from the capital district were selected to learn this art and
to enter a competition. There practice frescoes are on display at the Independent Living Center at 15 3rd St, Troy, right across from the
Atrium. Ring the doorbell, introduce yourself and ask to see the frescoes. The finished, large ones will be visible in the businesss store windows in Troy Little Italy. There will be hung and ready for viewing the
first week of July. The booklets will have information on each artist
and the centerfold will be a map of the frescoes locations.
Wait till you see them I know the people who remember the days of
Little Italy will be thrilled and those who have come from Italy or their
relatives will enjoy each and every one.
Remember this is a competition and your vote counts. Take the time to
tour Troy Little Italy and visit the storeowners, while viewing the frescoes. Your votes can be turned in at any one of the businesses or on
Troy Night Out at the Independent Living Center- during July and
August!
