Board and Wisconsin Teacher Standards.
Standards:
National board #2: Teachers know the subjects they teach and how to teach those subjects to
students (same as Danielsons Planning&Prep:Demonstrating knowledge of content and
pedagogy; DPI #1)
Goal: To present the material I am to teach in the most appropriate and effective manner.
Standards:
Planning and Preparation: Assessing student learning, Instruction: Engaging students in
learning; teachers know how to test for student progress (DPI #8), Teachers are responsible for
managing and monitoring student learning (NB#3)
Goal: To assess students using the best-suited technique, with fidelity.
Standards:
Teachers know how to manage a classroom (DPI #5), the classroom environment: managing
student behavior (DD) teachers are committed to students and their learning (NB#1)
Goal: To manage the classroom to promote learning in all my classrooms.
Standards:
Teachers are connected with other teachers and the community (DPI #10) professional
responsibilities: growing and developing professionally (DD), Teachers are members of learning
communities (NB#5)
Goal: To build strong relationships in the community to support my programs.
