Goal: Develop my ELA Teaching skills by planning differentiated writing lessons for students
Short/Long Term Objective: Plan & implement a differentiated unit on 5th grade Personal Writing
Rationale: Reinforces CA ELA Standards
Evidence: “Students learn best when teachers accommodate differences in readiness levels,
interests, and learning profiles” (Tomlinson, 2005).
NBPTS: Proposition 4: Teachers think systematically about their practice & learn from
experience.

Teacher Inquiry: I will develop my skills in differentiating Personal Writing

#3 I will develop my use of assessments and data for school improvement


Goal: Use school data on math to group students
Short Term Objective: Make heterogeneous or homogeneous math groups
Long-Term Objective: Improve math scores and students SEL skills with math groups.
Rationale: There are many benefits to student grouping based on assessment data.
Evidence: “I can strategically group learners to differentiate instruction based on shared needs.”
