Leadership Experience and Goals

I will develop my leadership in Student Assessment


Goal: Use the data from assessments to adapt lesson designing
Rationale: Use of Concept Testing
NBPTS: Proposition 3: Teachers are responsible for managing and monitoring
student learning.
TLMD: Domain 5: Promotes the Use of Assessments and Data for School and
District Improvement
Objective: In my PreCalculus Honors course, assessment questions need to push
thinking and require conceptual and explaining questions (short term).
In my PreCalculus Honors course, develop assessments that will prepare students
for AP Calc (long term)

I will develop my leadership in collaborating with families to help with the


educational needs of my students.
Goal: Collaborate with families to learn more about the needs of my students.
Rationale: Benefits in building community with my parents
NBPTS: Proposition 1: Teachers are committed to students and their learning.
TLMD: Domain 6: Improves Outreach and Collaboration with Families and
Community
Objective: Reach out to families periodically through the semester to provide
updates (short term). Improve my relationship with parents and gain a better
understanding of my students to improve their success rate in my class (long term).

I will develop my leadership in improving my instruction for student learning


Goal: Reflect on my instructional practices including the usage of assessment data
Rationale: Reflective teaching improves my lessons
NBPTS: Proposition 4: Teachers think systematically about their practices and
learn from experience.
TLMD: Domain 4: Facilitates Improvements in Instruction and Student Learning
Objective: Make notes on my lessons and assessments to adjust on timing,
questions asked (short / long term).
