Reflection on Student Learning:

The students were very skilled at counting the number of pips on the die.
They were able to keep 1:1 correspondence by using their fingers. Most
of the students were also able to count out all of their eggs in the carton.
However, a few students forgot how many eggs they were supposed to be
counting out and accidentally got too many. Then we got a little mini
lesson on how many eggs needed to be taken away to reach the correct
number of eggs. This was much harder for the students, but great
practice. Some of the students that excelled at identify numbers worked
on some harder subtraction practice. Since all of the students were trying
to fill up their egg cartons to get to 12 the gifted students counted their
empty spaces to see how many more eggs they needed to be full.
