Title : How to make a sushi

General Purpose : To tell the audience the different kind of traditional asian food which is
simple to make and delicious.
Purpose : To demonstrate the best and easiest way to make a sushi.

Introduction:
1) Introduce myself
2) History of sushi
Body :
1) Ingredients
- Japanese rice (calrose rice)
- dried seaweed
- vinegar
- sugar
- salt
- topping (crab stick, cucumber, egg)
2) Steps
1. Firstly, wash the sushi rice several times in a sieve . Rinse the rice repeatedly until
the rice water is not cloudy. Then fill the rice pot with new water

2. Wash the vegetable and crab stick , then put them on a cutting board and cut them
into long skinny strips
3. Check on the cooked rice, put the rice into a flat-based bowl, carefully add the rice
vinegar, sugar and salt and cool down the rice.
4.Place the seaweed layer on a bamboo mat.
5. Dip the fingers into the bowl of water and scoop up a half handful of rice. Put a
thin layer of rice all over the nori sheet, leaving the bottom 1cm of the sheet clear.
Make sure to distribute the rice evenly by pressing down gently.
6. Place the strips of crab stick, cucumber and egg onto rice.
7.To roll the sushi rice, start rolling with the mat from the bottom edge, little by little.
Keep rolling 3 or 4 times,make sure it is tightly rolled. There should be no gaps
between the rice and the filling.
8. Remove the sushi from the mat and place it on a clean, dry chopping board. Cut
into 6

pieces with a sharp, wet knife, quickly and smoothly. Wipe the knife clean

with every cut.
