Focus of Lesson: Speedball
Student Performance Objectives (SPO):
By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:

(P) demonstrate the proper techniques and skills used in (NASPE S1.H1; MA
CF 2.17)
(C) explain the strategies they used during gameplay with 100% accuracy at the
end of the lesson (NASPE S2.H1; MA CF 2.17)

(A) demonstrate respectful behavior 100% of the time by showing good

sportsmanship and following the rules during the entire lesson (NASPE S4.H2;
MA CF 2.26)
Check each objective is it specific? Is it achievable? Is it
developmentally appropriate?
Teacher Performance Objectives During the lesson the teacher will:
1. Keep students motivated by providing enthusiasm and positive feedback
2. Explain safety boundaries and rules clearly so no one is injured
Special Considerations What are the safety concerns? What is unique
about the students in this class?
I need to make sure that I keep the games nice and short so no team is waiting for a
long period of time. This way everyone will get an opportunity to participate in
multiple games. Also, I need to enforce safety and make sure when fouls are
committed I call them.
