There is nothing that we as individuals can do to prevent climate

change
The phenomenon that describes rise of the average temperature is called
climate change or global warming. The causes of this event are related with the
greenhouse effect, which is cause for greenhouse gases (between them are
Carbon Dioxide, methane and nitrous dioxide, most of them are produced by
burning fossil fuels). The process of this effect is the thermal radiation from the
planetary surface is absorbed by the greenhouse gases, and is returned to the
earth surface again causing a rise in temperature.
In my opinion, all habitants of the earth need to take actions to revert the
global warming. The main reason of this, is the perceptual distribution of
carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuels; the combustion of liquid fuels as
gasoline, jet fuel, etc. used overall in transport, reach 36% of the emissions;
burning solid fuels as coal in thermal plants reach 35%; and burning gaseous
fuel as methane, propane and natural gas in thermal plants, houses and
industry reach 20%. Most of the people in the planet are involve with the
activities mentioned before, then if only a few people try to make a change in
their lifestyle is not going to be a substantial reduce in the carbon dioxide
emissions.
Other reason that needs the commitment of everyone is to stop deforestation,
because is the action of the plants and trees who makes possible to reduce the
concentration of greenhouse gases. Then, if only one person stop to cut down
trees, the difference would be minimum compared with a worldwide
commitment.
Finally, one thing has to be mentioned, support political tendencies related with
new kinds of renewable energies is one thing that we could do as individuals
for make a real change, other actions can lead by example but do not make a
big difference in the actual situation.
