Design 1: Boxes in a box form. By: Jake L.

Design2: Boxes in a skyscraper. It was going to have windows that were going to contain the
information in. It was going to have criterion A on the first layer, criterion B on the second layer,
criterion C on the third layer and criterion D on the fourth layer. It would show that the
skyscraper would reach the sky and the sky is the limit. By: Kylie H.
Design3: Shell Shape. By: Taylor K.

Design 4. Boxes in a Circle. The design cycle titles would be in the inner circle and the
descriptions would be in the outer circle. By: Brendan P.
Design 5. The Wave. Design cycle going up the wave from base to tip. By: Nalu P.
Design 6. Soccer Ball. The original idea was to have 4 soccer balls and there would be 1 topic
of the design cycle for each ball and the description would be in the pentagons. Then Nalu
came up with the idea of 4 balls being kicked into the goal as a time lapse and then the class
decided that the balls would be hanging and the design cycle titles and description would be
underneath the ball and you could move the ball out of the way to see the title and description.

Soccer ball idea was chosen because it proved to be most popular with class opinion.
- Most popular design, according to the class opinion, was discovered by having
everyone write down their favorite idea on a scrap piece of paper, put it in a
bowl, and then assign one person to count the idea that was written down the
most.
Design format on bulletin board was debated upon but class decided on the Soccer Ball theme
Class did not have a specific plan in the beginning but we created and designed the idea for the
bulletin board the first class, then created some of the physical components of the board in the
next class.
-Jobs and tasks for each person were not orderly specified, members of class
decided on what they were going to do individually, and then did it.
Brendan, Nalu, Luke, Kylie, and Chris: worked on construction of board (i.e. soccer ball layout
design, gluing background, cutting soccer balls and clouds).
Kathy: Made goal (with yarn) and also created idea for it.
Kylie, Alyssa, and Jacob: glued soccer balls to thicker pieces of paper
Kathy, Kylie: created descriptions of each stage
Chris: created shoe
Brenden: Created sun
Nick, Frank, Caleb: created this document
Carley: helped with document and its specifications
- Because of an unplanned timeline, the class needed extra time in next class
period to complete board (10 min.)

Style of soccer ball bulletin board theme was decided and discussed upon by class. The class
decided on this design style of the Soccer Ball idea:

- Each stage of the cycle will go on each soccer ball. Descriptions of each stage
Will be put on each soccer ball as well.
In the chosen design, most of the project specifications were not added to the board (i.e.
included space for unit name, space for title for each stage
Some of the materials were the green and blue backdrop, white, yellow and orange paper, we
also used a sock for the shoe and yarn for the goal, we also used printed out soccer ball
pictures.
Changes/decisions made throughout creative process:
Foot/shoe was made 3D
Grass and multi-colored background was added
Decided goal was to be made of yarn
No pictures were added to design of board
Extended time for completion of project (10 min.)
Soccer balls were changed from being glued with descriptions onto the bulletin board to being
hung by string from the board with descriptions glued to the board in back of the hanging soccer
ball
We made 4 extra balls just incase we messed up
Clouds were added hovering atop the soccer balls.
