Test Friday!

Phonics Focus:
Short i
Inflected Endings

Reading: We will read A Fox and a Kit and

discuss characters and setting in a story.
We will also continue to read Charlottes
Web.

Math: We will practice a variety of School

Bus story problems this week and show our
learning by creating our own problem for our
friends to solve.
Writing: We will spend some time reviewing
what good writers do as we start a new
batch of stories.
Science- We will study trees and what
materials are made from them. We will also
have another plant and food presentation by
Norwood food services on Friday afternoon.

reading data regarding the AIMSWEB
Reading Fluency test and the DRA
Reading and comprehension test. This
data should be familiar to you from
last year, but please let us know if
you have any questions or concerns. We
will definitely discuss all of the
information at conferences. In the mean
time, please make sure to read with
your child each night!
