What we
are learning this

Test Friday!

Phonics Focus:
Short I
X /-ks sound/

Reading: We will read Pig in a Wig and

discuss making predictions when reading. We
will continue to read Charlottes Web and
practice making connections to the
character's actions and emotions.
Math: We will practice counting on when
adding two numbers. We will also continue to
review number identification and sequencing.
Please practice this at home especially with
numbers 50-120!
Writing: We will continue our Illustration
Study. We will work on adding backgrounds,
motion lines, and feelings to our illustrations.
Science- We will begin our first unit of
science. We will study living and nonliving
things in our environment.

We are reviewing number

identification and sequencing in
math and many of the students
are still struggling with numbers
greater than 50. Please practice
counting and ordering numbers
each night to strengthen your
childs number sense. Also, please
practice writing numbers to make
sure your child isnt reversing
the number order. 15 and 51 are
very different quantities! We
appreciate your support!
