T-T of K-K Policy to make waves in Buena Vida

TT of KK Rule No joke.
In the past year weve had
the issue of Karaoke
banned from the Clubhouse
due to residents who cant
follow the 10:00PM end
rule for others who would
want to sleep early, as well
as intoxicated residents and
guests who belt out songs
like there was no tomorrow
out of tune, out of sync.
Well, were not professional
singers but we try our best
and its an evening to enjoy
each others company and
relax. Weve had several
residents request that this
ban be revoked and in the
last Board meeting, the
Board en banc, agreed to
revoke the ban on Karaoke
but with a new twist. Its

now known as the TT of KK

Policy.
KK being Karaoke and TT
being the T - ten PM cut off
time or be slapped with a T
ten-thousand pesos [P10,000]
fine. Yes. Its not a joke. Let
that penetrate for a moment.
If you use a karaoke at the clubhouse for your party, you need
to end it by 10:00PM. Thats the
policy; its in the reservation
form you signed. In signing, it
means you agree to the policies
and guidelines set for the use of
a common area.

more, except this time, theres a

fine and its a heavy one. Why
10K? Why not P5,000?
Because inebriated people
usually say go and say Ill pay
for that 5K penalty! once
theyre asked to stop using the
Karaoke. P10,000 is sobering
enough. So, you can sing to your
hearts content like theres no
forever or tomorrow but not
after 10:00PM. Volume levels
will also be monitored.

Over the past few years, this

10:00PM policy has always been
violated and no fines were
imposed except the load of
complaints the guards would
receive asking that the users be
told to tone it down. This time,
the Board has considered allowing the use of the Karaoke once

Special Projects for 2015-2016

Were currently looking at
several repairs and improvements for the common areas
in Buena Vida. First off would
be the refurbishing of the
Guard House and the
entrance path outside of the
gate. We shall be replacing
the lockers, the white board,
the toilet door of the Guard
house as well as fix up the
bricks.
Second on the list is the
replacement of the stonewash
surface around the swimming
pool with brick pavers. They

are sturdier and much better

than the current. It is also
safer for the swimmers who
use the pool since the current
surface has cracked and isnt
safe for kids especially those
who run around the pool.
Several picnic tables might
also be placed in and around
the pool.
Next on the list has actually
been finished. The repair of
the stockroom behind the
BVHA Office has been
repaired, the clutter has been
thrown out and the flooring of

the stockroom has also been

replaced with brick pavers.
Next on the list is the repair
and maintenance of our CCTV
system. If youve noticed [ for
Cablelink
subscribers],
channel 97 has been quite
blurry if not too bright. This is
because the contractor placed
in a system incompatible with
the modulator of Cablelink.
We shall be announcing more
projects once approvals and
sponsorships from Barangay
Merville pushes through.

SPORTS NEWS!
There will be another round of Basketball League this coming 2016,
spearheaded by Boni Ong and Joey
Untalan.
Again there will be several teams
and this event is scheduled for
January 2016. We shall be announcing the start of the League
once the Board has settled all
projects and calendared the
necessary details and events. There
is also a proposal to revive the

Volleyball facilities at the

basketball court. The
Basketball court is now
going to be called the
Multi-purpose
Court
since it will now cater to
basketball, volleyball and
even Fut-sal.
The proposal for the Fut-sal training
was circulated early 2015 and there
were several interested participants.

So as early as now, get some

practice, find out who can be part
of your team and get your game on.

GREEN & RED Buena Vida Christmas

Too early? Not really. It is
not too premature to
announce guidelines for
the Christmas season contest since the only event
between now and Christmas is Halloween and not
every body decorates for
All Hallows Eve.
This years Christmas
Decoration contest will

focus on two colors. RED

and GREEN. But there can
only be ONE major color
used. You can decide
whether or not you use
Green or Red as your
major color motif. There
are no design or required
materials, themes are all
up to your discretion and
decision. But the only rule

is - you cannot use any

other color except RED &
GREEN. It puts a new twist
on all our designing styles
and creative moods. And
you can start decorating as
early as now. Judging will
be done a few days before
our Christmas Party on
December 5.

If you live long

enough, you'll
make mistakes.
But if you learn
from them,
you'll be a
better person.
It's how you
handle
adversity, not
how it affects
you. The main
thing is never
quit, never quit,
never quit. ~
