    Two teams entered Section D of the working Newfoundland water test at Rudyard Lake on May 3rd, 2015. While both teams appeared experienced in water work, they struggled on the day of the test. The first team failed to pass any elements, having trouble getting their dog to go far enough in the water. The second team passed one element but otherwise also failed, despite having more experience than the first. Both dogs enjoyed swimming at the end of the test.

    Test Conditions: Showery but calm
    FOR PUBLICATION:
    There were two entries for Section D. Both teams appeared to have good
    experience in water tests.
    However this experience did not show itself on the day.
    The first entry really struggled to get her dog to even go out far enough in the
    water and again as per my comments in Section E, not sure if it is background
    noise causing the dog to lose concentration, but this team unfortunately failed to
    pass any of the elements, even though it was obvious the team were perfectly
    capable.
    The Second entry had more experience than the first, but unfortunately went the
    same way as the first, but did manage to pass element D2.
    At the end of the day the dogs had a good swim and enjoyed themselves.
    Thanks to my co-judge, stewards and the Test Manager for a great day.
