Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Postponed but Public Invited to Movie in the Park

Pilot Club and Pilot International will postpone the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new motion wellness senior
station at Greenwood Community Park, originally scheduled for Friday, November 6 at 5 p.m. but moved due
to inclement weather. Funding for the fitness equipment was provided through a generous donation from the
Main Street (Baker) Pilot Club, with the installation of the equipment, concreate walkways and rubber safety
surfacing being funded and installed by BREC. The first of its kind in Louisiana, the Xccent Motion Wellness
System is a breakthrough product in the senior fitness and rehabilitation industry.

open spaces and recreational experiences for all of East Baton Rouge Parish.

During my BREC internship, I had the opportunity to write numerous press releases. Occasionally,
however, I was asked to write a media advisory for a last minute news story. For the most part, and
in the case of this media advisory, it was for a cancelation of an event. This media advisory was sent
out to the media through email, while the general information of the cancelation was sent to the
public through social media.
