Media/Technology Committee Meeting

March 25, 2010

The Media/Technology Committee met today to discuss the short range needs:

1. Finish replacing teacher’s inkjet desktop printers with laser printers (12 left
to replace)
2. LCD projector mounted in Hamilton Hall
3. Four Smartboards (2 in lower school and 2 in middle school)
4. Upgrade library circulation program (Winnebago Spectrum) to Destiny
Library Manager

The committee made several requests of committee members of things to be

checked on before the next meeting:

 Request heads of schools to assess status of desktop computers of their

teachers.
 Request the media specialist to assess computers in the computer lab (24
stations) and Photo Lab (18 stations), gym area and Administrative offices.

Plan will be to request our network administrator to check out/clean up any

stations that are slow/ experiencing problems. Reassess before school gets out to
determine if there is a need for replacement.

It was discussed and determined that we don’t anticipate a high need of desktop
computer replacement. The next rotation for replacement is the computer lab in
one year. Every station in the school is less than 3 years old now with the
exception of student stations in the classrooms.

The meeting was adjourned. The committee will meet again in one month.
