Bazaar:
On Thursday 10th December, the annual
Christmas Bazaar took place. Spirits were high
with Christmas cheer and the whole Secondary
School was decked from head to toe with red
and green. This annual event is a major
fundraiser every year that raises money for local
charities in Bray, Greystones, Delgany and
Wicklow area. There were many activities from
Santa's Grotto, candyfloss stands, toy stalls and
many more organised by St Gerards students,
parents and teachers. This year the bazaar
raised over 16,000 for local charities in our
area. This is a huge amount of money and this
contribution will make a great difference to
such charities.
Many Transition Years had stalls at the Bazaar
that they organised independently under the
guidance of their teachers. Such stalls include
Henna and Nail stalls, a YSI bake sale and selling
of wristbands to raise money and awareness for
Dun Laoghaire Refugee Centre, a stand selling
Christmas baubles and many more ! Well done
to all who participated and contributed to
making the Bazaar so successful.
