The Web Summit

Rugby:
The SCT won their Leinster
Senior League match against
Wesley College 10-6.

Hockey:
Junior 1s had a great cup match
against Loreto Foxrock but
unfortunately they lost 2-0.

On Tuesday evening, at 6pm, some of the TYs travelled to the RDS to

attend this years web summit. When we arrived we realised that all the
stalls and different booths were closed and we learned that this part of
the event was specifically talks and presentations for schools. Although
we were a bit disappointed about not getting to see the other aspects
of the summit we were happy to listen and learn about what the
speakers had to say. Although some of the talks were less about IT than
we expected we still really loved the event and the atmosphere.

Junior 2s won against

Rathdown 4-1 and Junior 3s
lost against Wesley College 3-1.

Salsa Dancing workshop

On Wednesday the 4th of November Ms. Catriona Molloy organised a special
dance class from Will, a dancer from Cuba. This workshop was for all fourth
years doing Spanish. It was great fun; Will got us energised and laughing and
we partnered up halfway through to try out our moves. For one dance we
had to make a bridge with our arms, and pairs ran through it. At the end, we
stood in a circle while different pairs danced in the centre. We really enjoyed
it!

TY WEEKLY
TT

Kairos
Last Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, TY students were lucky enough to go
to the Kairos TV production studio in Maynooth. We were each given a
specific role to fulfil to make sure the production became a reality. Such
roles included: Presenters, Director, Stage Manager, Producer and many
more. After a day of writing, filming and editing, students had a short film
to show for their work, not too different to any show on TV! All Kairos
productions can be seen on the TY website.
