1. Literacy:

Read your leveled reading book aloud to your parents for 10 minutes per
night. Remember to fill out your reading log.
Turn in your reading log on Friday for
your teacher to check.
2. Literacy:
Each time you read this week, have your parents ask you some of the Book
Talk questions which are on the back of this sheet (or below on weebly). Answer them
orally.
3. Math:
Make sure that you are practicing your MAD Minute sheets that we send home
each week!!!
4. Inquiry:
We are starting our next unit of inquiry called
How the World Works
. During
this unit children will become familiar with different energy forms and how they are
used. To get the children thinking about how important electricity is, we want the kids
to do some flashlight reading at home.
Children should then bring a flashlight and
some favorite books from home to school with them on Friday, January 15th. We will
have flashlight reading during reading workshop.
