Song Info (Title & Artist)

Childish Gambino - Telegraph Ave. (Oakland By Lloyd) , Childish Gambino - Urn

Important Lyrics and/ or Musical Moments (melody)
Let you go, on to the sea, just for me
Don't ever limit my love
This line speaks about letting go of the past relationship and moving on mentally. This
perfectly reflects onto our video where the protagonist is recovering from a failed relationship
and having to move on and let (her) go.
During the end of our video we cut to Urn. The entire feel of this song is very down tempo,
slow and sad yet beautiful sounding. This perfectly reflects the breakup in our video and the
reflective period of our antagonist. This song provides a sort of closure to the video. Our
abstract shots, during Urn, look aesthetically beautiful however they are out of focus and
blurry intentionally to draw more attention to the music. At this point the video compliments
the music as opposed to the beginning segment of where the music complements the video.
The outro is a reflection of the music and provides a sort of accompaniment.
Key events in the song linked to moments in your story/ life

Some of the key lyrics in the song that relate to the story of the music video are
Foot on the gas
I'm just trying to pass
All the red lights
And the stop signs
In this, Gambino is stating that he doesnt want to face any of the problems that come along
with a committed relationship. He wants to pass all the red lights and the stop signs that
represent the disputes that come along with a relationship like this. The boy in this story isnt
able to deal with the trials and tribulations he needs to face with his girlfriend. He wants to
skip the difficulty and uses substances to cope with pain.
I'm ready to go
But I'm really not ready, girl
That's a problem
Bino explicitly states that he is ready to bolt out of the relationship as soon as trouble arrises.
The issue that he is facing- and the boy in the music video is facing as well- is that he is too
scared to be in the relationship (due to all of its accompanying problems) but he isnt ready to
let go of the emotional aspect of it all.
