Use practice experience and theory to
inform scientific inquiry and research.
As a social worker, it is best to keep
up with all the relevant and new
information that is changing as social
work continues to grow in its career.
Read articles that help with
elaborates more on social work.

Competency 4.2
Apply critical thinking to engage in
analysis of quantitative and
qualitative research methods and
findings.
Discuss the articles that I have been
reading with other employees or
social work majors and I am going to
attend different workshops on how to
help various populations in this
community (EC, abused, etc.).

Competency 4.3
Use and translate research evidence to
inform and improve practice, policy,
and service delivery.
Apply the research in the articles
that I have read on target populations
and see if this information is
effective.
