Application for
110 new homes
at Folly Hill
Park View Residents Association
has become aware that Catesby
Estates Ltd and Bewley Homes
Plc are preparing to submit a
planning application for 110 new
homes on land at Folly Hill.
A few residents have received a
letter from Turley, which is a
planning consultancy from
Bristol.
The letter invites residents to a
public consultation about the
residential development. The
consultation will be held on:
Thursday 17 March
2pm to 7pm
Hale Village Hall
For those who did not receive a
letter, please see overleaf for
more information about what is
proposed.
On behalf of their client, in October 2015, Turley Associates submitted a
Request for a Screening Opinion to Waverley Borough Council. Based on the
information supplied, Waverley decided that the proposed application will
not require an Environmental Impact Assessment, which came as some
surprise to members of the Residents Association Committee.
We also learnt from this Request for a Screening Opinion that the developers
propose to install a new roundabout at the Folly Hill/Drovers Way entrance
to the estate.
We understand that the application for the roundabout will be considered
separately by Surrey County Council and that this is likely to happen within
the next few months. If the roundabout is given permission, the Committee is
concerned about the impact on our estate. The Committee is of the view that
more factual information needs to be given to Park View residents so that
anybody who is interested can form a timely and informed opinion.
