Parallel lines in the real world

Guitar strings contain parallel lines , they are equal distance

From each

On the key board of a computer there are parallel lines between the key

lines , equal distance from each other http://elizabethggeometry.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html

railroad tracks contain parallel lines because the lines are equal distance from each
other

The are on the same plane

They will both always have slope

have different signs
parallel lines do not touch at all

Parallel and perpendicular lines help define many of the geometric

shapes that we use and discuss in mathematics.

perpendicular lines do touch or intersect

preppendicular lines have opposite reciprocal's

perpendicular lines will
have a angle at 90 degrees

Perpendicular lines
perpendicular lines cross with each other and meet at a point. that point is
called the origin. an example of perpendicular lines would be: +
perpendicular lines will create 4 right angles (4 90 degree angles) the lines
in a perpendicular lines can go on forever in all directions so they are
called lines. (of course). perpendicular lines creates a grid, the horizontal
line is the X-axis. the vertical line is the Y-axis. these axis' will help find a
location on a grid using the perpendicular lines.

Parallel lines

parallel lines are always straight angle. they do not bend or corner to
create another angle. the angle will always equal 180 degrees. (straight
angle) parallel lines are also called lines. they go on forever in both
directions. parallel lines are always the same distance away from each
other and are side by side. They also never intersect. an example would
be: l l parallel will always have an equal distance

Perpindicular

The way this pizza is cut , it is cut at 90 degree angle and the lines
intersect

At this intersect the lines are crossing and make a 90 degree angle

Perpindicular

This clock makes a 90 degree angle and is perpendicular
