This summer you will experience and achieve many wonderful things. Your experience is going to be so
wonderful that you should share it with others. Therefore, Blogs have been created for each of the HYCC
teams, so that you all may document you incredible journey. Here is some basic information and
directions for making a successful blog.

What is a blog?:

A blog is a website that is maintained by regular people that expresses commentary,

descriptions of events, or other materials such as a graphic or video. Your team will be in charge of one
blog.

How do we log into our blog?:

Each team has been given an assigned log-in and password. Simply go to www.blogspot.com
and enter the log-in information that is printed below:

What if we need help with our blogs?

An HYCC support blog and e-mail has been created. You can send all of your questions there and they
will be answered in a timely manner. Note: Please e-mail from your team e-mail which has been created
for you. To use this e-mail please go to www.gmail.com, the log-in information (password and e-mail) is
the same as the Blogspot log-in.

 Rules for using your team’s blog:
1.) All posts must be approved by a team leader.
2.) Do not change your assigned log-in and password.
3.) All HYCC staff has the right to remove any posts that are
offensive or inappropriate.
4.) No Profanity, offensive language, inappropriate
pictures. Some examples include: inappropriate hand
gestures, racial slurs, and gang related signs.
5.) Remember, these blogs are public. Therefore, it would
not be wise to post materials in which you wouldn’t
want others to see.
6.) Please refrain from putting down others; specifically
other teams or team members. Keep it positive!
 How to Get started:
1.) Post a picture of your team.
2.) Post an introduction of everyone one if you team.
Example: Names, where you are from, and what you are
most looking forward to this summer.

How to post:

After you log-into your blog you be brought to the opening page ( See Above). To make a post simply
click the “ New Post” button. You will click this button whenever you want to make a new post.
 After you click post you will be brought to the above page. To post simply enter a title in the first
box and enter your post in the larger box below. When you are satisfied with your post click “ Publish
Post”, to make your post public. To add pictures or video please see next step. To change your font or to
have more writing features click the compose tab ( as seen below).
How to add media to your posts:
To add pictures or video click the buttons indicated below. When you get to the picture or video page,
simply follow the instructions on that page to upload the picture or video you choose.

You may want to see what other teams are doing, so we have made it so you are already following all
the other teams. So now simply click the name of team (on the opening page) that you want to view, as
indicated below. NOTE: You can access the HYCC Support page here as well!
