As scenario of a private company where the matter of fall in sales of
products and misplacement of checks is being discussed
Characters
Employee 1: Aziz
Employee 2: Yasir
Assistant Manager: Ismail
Manager: Ehtisham

Aziz: Hello Yasir, how are you doing?

Yasir: I’m good, what about you.
Ismail: Mr. Aziz and Yasir the manager has called you both for an urgent meeting
in the meeting hall.
Aziz: fine but what happened sir, is everything alright?
Ismail: I hope so but I guess it’s about the project assigned to both of you few
months ago.
Aziz: oh alright the results are not satisfying as our sales declined.
Yasir: Can we come in sir
Ehtisham: Yes
Aziz: sir you called us ...
Ehtisham: Two months ago I handed out a project to which both of you were in
charge of so I called you to talk about the sales of the product.
Aziz: ok sir, go on please.
Ehtisham: As you can see according to the statistics and complete report our sales
has declined as compared to our competitors in the market. The results are not
satisfying, I planned procedure and handed out the task to both of you so what
went wrong? What is the problem?
Yasir: Sir I realized that our competitors advertised the product widely all over the
country as compared to us so I think we need to focus and invest more on
marketing but it is not he complete report there are some regions where we have
dominated the markets.
Aziz: I agree with my mate. I think you should talk to the boss to increase the
budget for marketing and advertisement.
Ehtisham: but I have provided the complete package and allocated the budgets

Aziz: sir we did our best for the job, we have wisely used the amount of 1 million
at right places for marketing.
Ehtisham: what, there must be some mistake, I allotted 1.7 million for advertising
purpose.
Yasir: but we had only 1 million for marketing, that’s what we received from your
assistant manager.
Ehtisham: wait, let me call Ismail.
Yasir: sure sir
Ismail: may I come in sir
Ehtisham: yes
Ehtisham: where is the remaining amount I gave you to provide them for the
purpose of marketing?
Ismail: what remaining amount sir
Ehtisham: I’m talking about the checks
Ismail: The amount was 1 million and I forwarded the checks to the employees
who were in charge of, to proceed the work.
Ehtisham: It was 1.7 million, you have committed a big mistake
Ismail: I’m so sorry sir, the check must have misplaced somewhere on my table
sir, give me a minute please.
Ehtisham: I hope you will find it or otherwise you might get into trouble. And
bring the reports of the areas where we did well and our sales increased.
Ismail: sure sir, I will find it
Ismail: I’m so sorry sir, the check was misplaced there in my office. It was due to
my negligence I apologize.
Ehtisham: you should have been careful, these kind of mistakes are not acceptable
now it will affect the reputation for our company along with the sales.
Ismail: so sorry sir I will be care full in future
Ehtisham: ok boys, so now I’m adding this amount into the budget for the next
project and I hope you will cover the areas where we lack.
Yasir: off course sir we did our best as the result is not the worst.
Aziz: yes sir we had limited options for marketing due to the shortage of money for
that purpose.
Ehtisham: do the marketing as widely as possible and use all social media
platforms as well for advertisement of the product and do let me know at time if
you face any problem.
Ehtisham: and Ismail I’m warning you again this was the last chance given to you.
Ismail: thanks sir, I will take care..
Ehtisham: ok, good luck guys.
Aziz: than you sir.
