The TNReady tests are coming! No worries; your

children are TNReady. For the past three weeks, the
students have been put through a test prep rigor
unlike anything they have ever experienced. They
have survived, and now it is their time to dominate!
With test prep taking much of the day, we needed
some creative activities to balance off our time. The
students movies were perfect for this. I have really
enjoyed watching their creativeness spark while
working on their script. Making a movie might sound
like fun but when done right, is a tall task for a fifth
grader. To get a better feel of their scripts, the
students did a live reading of them in front of their
classmates, took questions, and made corrections.
Another highlight of the week was watching the Soul
Singers perform their last concert of the year. Like
always, they brought the house down. To finish the
week, we spent time with our reading buddies.
