Overview
Topic and Overarching Goal:
The topic is about sensory experience with texture.
The overreaching goal is to have the children feel the different textures with earthy natural colors.
Preparing The Activity
Activity Description: What are you doing for your activity? Describe in very specific step-by-step detail, using
numbers or bullets. Write descriptions as if you will be giving instructions to a substitute teacher:
Sensory Activity
The activity I will be doing for the children is making slime with the children in one sensory table
and in the other will be slime that they have already made and I will have cookie cutters the letter
shaped ones. I will also be making two different kinds of slime for the tables they will be blue and
green.
I will be placing all the supplies in the sensory table outside.
I will be asking the children questions as they are at the Sensory table.
I will be documenting the children that come over to the table.
I will be assisting them with any questions
I will be helping the children
I will offer children to come and join others at the Sensory table.
I will listen to the children that are answering questions.
