CIRCULAR
DRESS CODE, ETIQUETTES AND DECORUM IN MESSES DINING
HALL AND TV ROOM

Dress should be neat, clean, sober and graceful.

Shorts, night suits and vests are not allowed to be worn.
Informal slippers (bedroom slippers) should not be worn.
Do not put your legs and feet on the center table, sofa or chair.
Do not talk loudly.
Smoking is injurious to health. Smokers should avoid smoking in dining rooms / TV halls to
comply with the Company smoking policy and avoid impact on other persons. Action will be

taken on non-compliance.
7) Avoid having meals in your rooms. Meals are to be taken in the dining halls. However, a
member who is sick may be excused.
8) Be polite and gentle with the mess staff.
9) Members are requested to refrain from discussion of ethnic / political and religious
controversies.
10) Mess bills must be cleared by 10th of each month.
11) Dining members leaving last from the TV hall / dining room must switch off all lights, airconditioners and all electrical appliances. Thermostat of air conditioners should be kept on
26C.
