Inclusion North continues to run a network aimed at people who have a paid or volunteer role in supporting a self-advocacy group. This network is for people working or volunteering in Inclusion North member areas only. This year we will be holding separate meetings for groups in Yorkshire & Humber and the North East so you can go to the one closest to you. Lots of people in these roles have said they would really welcome this as the role can be challenging. The aims of the network are: To share examples of good practice and learning To work together to find solutions to challenges To explore any things we might work on together We have set up a network Facebook page to support this work. Please join us on this by contacting Marie (details below) for an invite. The next meetings are: 25th May for Yorkshire & Humber in York 26th May for the North East in Newcastle The sessions will start at 10.30am and finish at 2.30pm. Drinks and a light lunch will be provided.
We will be focusing on issues to do with funding, how
to use graphic facilitation and following up on the development of the How to Influence booklet. The final agenda and details of the meeting venue will be sent out nearer the date. The network will be facilitated by Kirsty Morgan but we hope that members of the network will be active too. If you would like to book a place at these network meetings please contact Marie on 0113 244 4792 or marie@inclusionnorth.org If you have any questions about the network please contact Kirsty on 07539 063467 or kirsty@inclusionnorth.org
