Developmental Goals
The students will use their
fine motor skills to pick up a
type of tool and dip it in the
paint and then tap the paper to
make flowers. They will use
their cognitive skills by
deciding what color and tool
they want. They will use their
social skills to communicate
with the teachers what color
they want.

Learning Objectives
Given white paper, three
different colors of paint, and
six different household items
to paint with, the students will
paint flowers.

Motivation/Introduction:
In 5 minutes, we will switch to art!

Procedure:
1. Put the paint in the pie tins.
2. Give each student a piece of paper.
3. Have them write their name.
4. Allow the children to pick their color and tool to make flowers.
5. Assist those that need it.
6. When they are finished, put the project on the drying rack.

Materials Required
Blue, yellow, and pink
washable paint, pie tins, 6
household items (spatulas,
empty bottles, rubbe fidgets,
etc.), a pencil
