Arden, NC 28704 TCR HS Graduation Project Board T.C. Roberson High School 250 Overlook Rd. Asheville, NC 28803 Dear Graduation Project Board I have had a little experience with doing photography, no more than taking photos on a phone on a few on my mothers camera. I have recently gotten a camera for Christmas and I thought it would be very interesting to learn more about it and find different methods of getting the perfect picture and I am hoping that the graduation project will be able to help me with that. The topic of my paper would be photography and photo editing. For my resources I will be using the internet for photo editing and books from the library about photography and editing. I will also research how light in nature affects the way the photo turns out. I will do research on the benefits of photo editing and the future of it as well the controversies of photo editing. For my practice experience, I will be going out at different times of day to see how the light of the sun affects an object. I will also be reviewing the benefits of editing pictures as well the future of photo editing, as well as the controversies of photo editing. With these skills I could be one step closer to entering the photography world and have it be a career when I am older. My mentor is Gloria Maria Llanser-Murray, who studied photography as a part of her major in college. She will be will be by my side for all the duration of the project, helping me and guiding me and teaching me the ways of editing and the affects of it as well the timing of going out during the day and at different locations as well like the Blue Ridge Parkway. I will be keeping a portfolio of all the pictures. I will be spending the required 15 hours needed for the project, I will be spending about 3 hours each weekend during March to fulfill my required hours. I know that plagiarism is using other words or thoughts as my own, which is both unlawful and unethical. To avoid plagiarism I will use proper MLA citation. If I do not, I am aware that I will fail my Graduation Project, which could result in my failing of English IV.
Sincerely, Gabriel Martin Attachments: Mentor and Parental Consents
