Artists Statement
As a student in Digital Media, I work hard to create pieces of digital art that not only
meet the criteria, but speak to me and relate to my passions and interests. When
creating pieces, I try very hard to meet all the criteria specified. However, I put my
thoughts and feelings into each thing I create. When making art I try to incorporate
aspects of my life that are import to me. These include, cycling and being outdoors.
For example, the collage I made called Bicycle Dreams, have serval photos of my
bicycles. Cycling and being in the natural world are very big parts of my life so I try
to channel these aspects in to my artwork. I value the natural world and think that
we need to protect it. Therefore, many of my art pieces made in Digital Media have
photos of leaves or flowers. I also created many natural landscapes while working in
Illustrator.
